The Student Eye is how we communicate things or events around our PS6 community. Kids can write about topics that relate to PS6 and express their opinions about them. They can be about any ideas that kids want to share with others. You can also read about these articles and give comments to the authors. The editor of the PS6 newspaper is Ms. Bader. Kids in the extended day with Ms. Bader write about all sorts of things. For example, last year I wrote one about Hurricane Sandy, but now I am working on Creative Stages. After this I might write about many things like the Green Team or another interest I may pick. In these writings we do interviews to include other people's ideas, opinions and thoughts. Later, you could add a picture to show more about your topic.

Even if you are not in the extended day with Ms. Bader, you are encouraged to write to the authors. You can give comments, or post something on the blog. If you want to write something then you are welcome to do so. On the PS6 library website you can write your opinions in Letters to the Editor. Or write about events in PS6 Happenings. Anybody can give something that they have written to Ms. Bader and put it under Opinions. These are things that you could do even if you are not in the Student Eye.

The Student Eye is not the only form of communication in the PS6 community. We also have the Connections Newsletter, News at 6, and the PS6 website. The Connections Newsletter is done by Ms. Fuchs. If you want to share a writing you can give it to her. News at 6 is like a pamphlet that is handed out. It has all different events, people and ideas or opinions. The PS6 website tells you lots of information from the After School Workshop to the PTA. These are all ways that our family and community of PS6 can communicate.
