Field Day
by Andrew Z.
Field day is coming up soon. Field day is really fun and exciting and even more exciting for the 2nd graders who are going for the first year. Let’s interview some kids who have experienced field day to prepare the kids who are getting ready for their first Field Day.
We interviewed Nate O and he said field day was “pretty fun” and he really liked the tug-of-war. However, the tug-of-war wasn’t his favorite part. “The relay race was fun.” He also thinks that the 2nd graders who are doing Field Day for the first time should look forward to the tug-of-war because they may have already done this in P.E.
In Christian M’s interview he said that he liked the competitiveness and the atmosphere. He really liked the obstacle course where you ducked through things and jumped over hurdles. He said the second graders should look forward to everything but especially the obstacle course.
We interviewed Sabrina P and she said she liked Field Day. She really liked the activity where you have to run with huge shoes on. She thinks that the 2nd graders who will be going to this great experience for the first time should enjoy the sports. They should especially enjoy the activity where you have to put a ball in the middle of your feet and you have to walk.
Jack Z from class 4-321 said that Field Day is really fun and is very exciting. He said that he was disappointed about last year’s field day because it was indoors and it does not compare to regular field day. His favorite field day activity is tug-of-war and the grade-wide relay race.
I think Field Day is a great experience and is really fun. Students who like sports and don’t can still enjoy this trip while playing with their friends and working as a team. We have interviewed multiple people and they all seem to agree that field day is a great experience. I am upset that in 5th grade we don’t get Field Day. So 2nd graders after hearing this don’t be upset if the bus ride is long. Field Day is just a little bit away and you will probably have loads of fun.
